Al Etihad Gold Participated in the Conflict-Free Smelter Program
As part of Al Etihad Gold’s commitment in achieving responsible supply chain of gold, the company had voluntarily participated in the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative’s (CFSI) Conflict-Free Smelter Program (CFSP).
We have undergone audit based on the CFSP Gold Protocol for the period of 16 September 2015 to 15 September 2016. The audit was conducted on 13 to 16 of December 2016 by SGS North America Inc. On January 10, 2017 the CFSI had issued compliance determination and concluded that Al Etihad Gold is Compliant with the CFSP Gold Protocol. The review expires one year after date of the assessment and we are committed to continue participating in the CFSP Program.
Al Etihad Gold is proud to be the first refinery in the Middle East to achieve this certification.
